The Naturama School of Drama started in Pinner, Middlesex, on June 1st 1985 and ran for almost twenty years. The school has always done well at Festivals, always winning 1st places and cups, but our main aim is the development of talent, creative potential, self confidence and sensitivity, through inner enrichment and a first class acting training.
The founder, Diane Brookens, was trained as a Drama Teacher at Goldsmith’s College and has a B.Ed., in Education and Drama from University of London. An award winning poet, she has an entry in Routledge’s Who’s Who of Writers and Poets. Speech and voice training are important in Naturama and Diane believes in sharing the beauty and power of language with children. Training in speech and drama often includes fun speech and drama exercises often exclusive to Naturama. She has an M.A. in Linguistics and it’s Applications and has been a member of LAMDA for 20 years. She is a member of Equity and The Writer’s Guild of Great Britain.
